Sysco West Texas Hosts U.S. Congressman, Discusses Industry Labor Shortages

U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington visited Sysco West Texas last week and learned about the driver shortage challenges facing the company, along with other priority items of interest. The OpCo President Chris McCool and his leadership team held a roundtable discussion with Congressman Arrington to explain the business operations and answer his questions.

Foodservice Distributors Make Industry Voice Heard During IFDA Washington Insight Conference

Last week, more than 70 IFDA members went to Capitol Hill during the Washington Insight Conference to speak directly to lawmakers and provide insight into how the foodservice distribution industry drives the U.S. economy. The strongest organizations in Washington are those that can leverage their grassroots strengths to connect directly with lawmakers. Distributors have tremendous stories to tell about your people, your customers and the work you do in the community. This week was an opportunity both to tell these stories and to ask lawmakers to help be a part of the solution for critical industry issues.

IFDA encourages participation in cross-industry compensation survey

Foodservice distributors are encouraged to participate in IFDA's 2018 Cross-Industry Compensation & Benefits Survey. Results will provide a robust set of benchmarking data from across the wholesale distribution industry, covering executives and 35 common distributor staff positions.
