President & CEO
Washington, DC Area
IFDA is seeking its next President & CEO to lead the association into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will set IFDA’s strategic direction and provide leadership for the association, its culture, team and resources. The CEO will also serve as a principal spokesperson for foodservice distribution, representing the industry with policymakers, regulators, industry organizations, the media and IFDA members.
The Opportunity
The next President & CEO will build upon IFDA’s strong foundation while identifying opportunities to increase member value, expand the association’s impact and position IFDA for continued growth.
Key priorities include:
- Developing a forward-looking vision and strategy in partnership with the Board
- Driving sustainable financial growth and expanding non-dues revenue
- Increasing member engagement across organizations of different sizes and needs
- Elevating the visibility of the foodservice distribution industry
- Expanding advocacy efforts at both the federal and state levels
- Investing strategically in people, technology and programs
- Continuing to strengthen IFDA’s education, research and professional development resources
The Ideal Candidate
IFDA is looking for a relationship-driven, business-minded leader who can combine strategic vision with strong execution.
Successful candidates should bring senior leadership experience, strong business and financial judgment, an understanding of advocacy and public engagement, and an ability to build trusted relationships with members, staff, partner organizations and policymakers. Experience working with trade associations and volunteer boards is valued. Direct foodservice distribution experience is beneficial but is not required.
The successful candidate will be collaborative, approachable and focused on building lasting value for IFDA’s members and the industry it represents.
Location & Travel
The position is based in the Washington, DC area, with significant travel expected to support member engagement and industry relationships.
