The annual IFDA Partner of the Year program recognizes an IFDA manufacturer Partner for outstanding performance based on foodservice distributors' experience. Voting is open to all foodservice distributor members.
The award is designed to provide manufacturers with feedback they can use to best support foodservice distributors to help build a mutually beneficial understanding of best practices, increase transparency for smoother business transactions, as well as guide collaborative discussions throughout the year and at the IFDA Partners Executive Forum event, where the award is presented.

Manufacturer Partners may retrieve their personalized, confidential reports that detail how distributors rated their performance on the Partner of the Year results platform.

NOTE: Voting is closed and will reopen in fall 2019 for the 2020 IFDA Partner of the Year.

For the voting process, distributors are encouraged to internally discuss their vendors’ performance and then designate a representative to complete a survey; only one vote per distributor company can be submitted.

The survey includes feedback on manufacturers’ performance on each of five key criteria as a score on a scale of 1 to 10:

1)     Engagement as a strategic business partner.
2)     Progressiveness in its approach to the supply chain.
3)     Commitment to strong local sales and marketing support.
4)     Focus on product innovation.
5)     Addressing issues critical to the success of the foodservice distribution industry.
IFDA enlisted Industry Insights to confidentially administer the voting survey via an online platform.
