    Rep. Brett Guthrie visits Reinhart Foodservice

    On August 31, Rep. Brett Guthrie (KY-02) visited Reinhart Foodservice, L.L.C. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Rep. Guthrie toured the facility and met a number of Reinhart employees, including warehouse and office staff. The Congressman also met with the Bowling Green leadership team to discuss topics relevant to the foodservice distribution industry, including safety, driver recruitment, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and child nutrition. “Rep. Guthrie’s visit gave us the opportunity to share how we can create more jobs for Kentuckians,” said Reinhart Division President Steve Minns. “He was interested to learn about Reinhart and our rich heritage.”

    We are happy to announce that the IFDA Truck Driving Championship is being held as scheduled.  Over the past 48 hours, IFDA has been working with our Orlando-based partners, all of which have advised us that they are prepared for our event.  The Disney Yacht & Beach Club and Epcot parking lot are in great shape and ready for the arrival of our guests.  We look forward to seeing you in Orlando on Friday.     Rep. Rick Allen visits Dot Foods, Inc.

    On August 17, Rep. Rick Allen (R-GA) visited Dot Foods Inc, in Vidalia, GA. The Dot leadership team provided an overview of the foodservice distribution industry and a tour of the warehouse. Discussion topics during his visit included, labor markets, regulations, and healthcare. The group toured the new office building, break room, and the freezer dock area. “It was great to be able to show off our facility to the Congressman,” said Tim Truxel, General Manager of the Vidalia facility. Rep. Allen serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee as well as the Agriculture Committee.

Congressman Young serves on the Transportation Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee and has been actively involved in transportation and infrastructure policy debates in Washington, D.C.
