Rep. Adrian Smith visits Cash-Wa Distributing

On April 26, Rep. Adrian Smith (NE-3) visited Cash-Wa Distributing in Kearney, NE. The Congressman met with Tom Henning, CEO of Cash-Wa and discussed the DRIVE-Safe Act, HR 5358. The bill would create a path for companies to recruit younger drivers into the industry while requiring proper advanced training to ensure safety. The Congressman agreed to become a co-sponsor of the measure, bringing the current total to 16.

An active member of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), family-owned Cash-Wa Distributing is the 15th largest broadline foodservice distributor in the country.  Cash-Wa started out in 1934 delivering candy to local neighborhood grocery stores in Kearney, Nebraska and now has over 600 committed employees.
