San Antonio, TX - The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), today wrapped the 2018 Distribution Solutions Conference, the premier annual gathering of foodservice distribution professionals at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The speakers and exhibitors featured at the gathering highlighted the latest trends, developments and innovations in foodservice distribution.

Key conference highlights included:
  • The induction of the 26 members of the inaugural class of the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame on the general session stage. The IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame casts a spotlight on the industry's top drivers for their outstanding records of service and safety. Click here for the full list of the 2018 class.
  • The Mike Roach Leadership Award was presented to Kirk Stowell, Sales Manager, B&C Food Distributors, a Centennial Foodservice company. Established in conjunction with Ben E. Keith Foods, the award honors a top student at the IFDA Executive Development Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, who embodies leadership qualities of former Ben E. Keith Foods President J. Michael Roach.
  • Raymond P. Martinez, the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), had a discussion with IFDA Board of Directors regarding the industry’s views on hours of service, federal preemption, younger drivers and other transportation safety issues.
  • Keynote panel: Foodservice Distribution: A C-Suite Perspective, moderated by John Tracy, IFDA Chairman and Executive Chairman Dot Foods, Inc. including Kellie Janssen, President, Henry's Foods, Inc., Jeff King, President & CEO, Reinhart Foodservice, LLC, Terry Walsh, President, Southwest Traders, Inc, Rich Wolowski, President & CEO, Gordon Food Service.
