The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) is pleased to announce two additions to its staff: David Coffield, Director, Policy & Government Affairs, and Matthew Sherring, IOM, Director, Business Development.

“David and Matthew are strong additions to IFDA’s team as we work to develop innovative, new solutions for our many stakeholders across the industry,” said Mark S. Allen, President & CEO of IFDA. “We welcome their fresh perspectives and expertise as we begin a busy year of advocating for this crucial industry in Washington, D.C., and through a robust schedule of events, programs, and fresh insights.”

Coffield will play a key role in representing the priorities of the foodservice distribution industry before Congress and federal agencies. He has over a decade of congressional experience, including serving in the offices of Rep. Steve Scalise (LA-01) and Rep. Chip Cravaack (MN-08). Before joining IFDA, he served as Director of Government Affairs for Humanity Forward.

Sherring will connect foodservice distribution stakeholders across IFDA’s various programs and events. He brings over 15 years of membership development experience to IFDA, recently serving as Director, Operations for Maryland Environmental Service. He has also served in senior industry relations roles in the chain drug store and food marketing industries.
