Gretchen Sussman As the head of the Food & Hospitality practice for Root Inc, a leading change management consulting firm, Gretchen combines her business experience leading strategy, organizational optimization, and cultural transformation with the proven Root Change Process, creative and disruptive change solutions to drive sustainable business performance improvement.     
 
Before joining Root, Gretchen held executive positions within the foodservice industry including The Martin-Brower Company (acquired by ProSource/AmeriServe), Sara Lee Corporation, CSM Bakery Solutions, Instill Corporation and the Women’s Foodservice Forum. Gretchen has served on both for-profit and non-profit boards, including Snappy Salads, the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), the International Foodservice Manufacturing Association (IFMA) and partnered with the IFDA leadership and Board of Directors to create and launch the IFDA Women in Foodservice Distribution Network.
 
Gretchen attended the University of Wisconsin—River Falls and earned an Executive Leadership Certification from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
