Where does the 2018 Conference take place?

This year's conference will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center located in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, along the banks of the River Walk. The official hotel of DSC18 is the Grandy Hyatt, which is located right next to the convention center.  For full travel information, click here.

What’s the Schedule?

Sunday, October 28
Registration/Check-in for distributor attendees opens at 1:00 p.m. and closes at 6:00 pm. Be sure to stop by before the opening reception as name badges are required for all events.

Monday & Tuesday, October 29-30
Two full days of sessions, expo, and networking that will help you improve your operations. The conference closes Tuesday evening with our big networking reception.

Wednesday, October 31
Stay for the optional distribution center tour, or head home first thing. The distribution center tour takes place from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and requires a separate fee of $45. All conference attendees and exhibitors are welcome to attend.

What is the JUMP START Program and how do I register?

The JUMP START Program is an exceptional opportunity for operations people to learn additional management skills and to be more effective leaders. This innovative program is geared for first time attendees to the DSC and is designed as both a personal development and team development program. Please note, this is an IFDA "members only" opportunity and is limited to 50 registrants. It is mandatory that registrants attend all JUMP START Program sessions to successfully receive their completion certificate.

Is there Different Pricing for IFDA Members vs. Non-Members

YES! If you are an IFDA member, the registration price is $895 for the first registrant from the company and then $795 for the 2nd through 9th registrant (per person). If your company is sending ten or more attendees, contact Jodee Hunt at IFDA to receive pricing of $495 for all registrants. The registration fee for Non-Members is $995.

What does my registration include?

Your conference registration fee includes access to all Distribution Solutions Conference events, meal functions, and receptions. It also includes big value, big takeaway, and a chance to meet peers from across the industry.

Are there any options to attend the conference or EXPO without attending the full conference?

YES! We have a complimentary EXPO PASS available, but you must be a foodservice distributor, convenience distributor, or wholesale grocer to take advantage of the Expo Pass. We also have a one-day pass for the conference where you can select either Monday or Tuesday to attend. The ONE-DAY PASS allows entry to all conference functions on that day.

Will you offer live streaming or session recordings?

No. To get the insights this conference provides, you have to commit to a face to face experience. Attendees consistently site that the professional contacts they make with peers as this conference is an exceptional part of the value.

What happens if I have a conflict and can’t attend?

Stuff happens! If you have a conflict, you may cancel your registration. Cancellations made by end of day September 28, 2018, receive a refund of the registration fee less $100. After that date, no refunds are available, HOWEVER, you may send a substitute in your place at any time up until October 10.

So what should I wear and what is the dress code?

October in San Antonio, TX has average daily highs of 82 degrees F and lows of 60 degrees F.  It can definitely get cool in the evening, so bring a jacket. Dress code for the event is business casual.

Will I receive event updates?

Yes, IFDA sends emails periodically to update you on the agenda, event happenings, and logistics. Please make sure to supply your company email address when registering to ensure you are receiving all important event information.
