The International Foodservice Distributors Association is a trade organization of foodservice distributors serving operations throughout the U.S., Canada, and other countries. IFDA members include broadline, system, and specialty distributors with operations ranging from regional to international scope.

As the foodservice industry works to fulfill consumer demand, IFDA helps its distributor members prosper. IFDA is the only trade group representing the interests of foodservice distributors in Washington, D.C., and educating lawmakers about the industry. IFDA also fills a unique role by providing opportunities for distributors to confront common business challenges and identify new opportunities for industry-wide cooperation and growth.

IFDA's government relations efforts focus on federal level legislative and regulatory issues, keeping members appraised of developments that will affect the industry and lobbying on behalf of the foodservice distribution community. IFDA's industry relations efforts include forums for interaction between the distributor and supplier communities, support for industry-wide initiatives, strategic and tactical research, and foodservice distributor education.

IFDA Media Policies
Conferences - IFDA will provide complimentary conference registration to editorial personnel and publishers. Sales personnel are welcome to attend meetings, but must pay the regular full registration fee for the event. The only exception to this policy is The Foodservice Distribution Conference & Expo at which sales staff may attend only if the publishing group is exhibiting. 

IFDA Communications - Members of the press can receive IFDA Daily Update, the association's business daily email newsletter. Press representatives may receive complimentary copies of new IFDA research reports as they become available.
